With prices rising a lot faster than income, many of us are looking for ways to cut our normal expenses so we can save more money. A lot of us waste money without even realizing it. It is time to check our spending so we can save for a secure future!
I checked into a lot of savings opportunities, and really found about 10 ways to save money that I had not thought of before! These tips will not be the right solution for all readers. But these 3 tips seemed to suit most people! I hope they will help you become more frugal without a lot of effort.
Carry cash and not plastic. I had a good handle on my fixed bills, but I found that I spent a huge amount of money on impulse items. Not of them seemed that expensive at the time, but they really added up over the course of a month. In fact, when I checked my impulse spending, I found that it was a lot easier to get other bills paid off and save money too!
My simple solution may seem a bit drastic to some of you. I set aside my plastic credit or debit cards. Instead, I forced myself to spend cash. I kept one card in my wallet for a true emergency, but otherwise I tried to pay for everything from groceries to shoes with actual paper money! This was an effective way for me to really think about my purchases. I actually had to stop spending when I ran out of money. Replacing the paper bills would take some time!
Turn on the fans. A cheap fan is also cheap to run. But when I have the fan on in a room, it feels much cooler and fresher to me. This means I could set up my air conditioning at a much higher level. When I raised the air conditioner by a few degrees, I found that my bills were about 10 percent less! With the fresh air from the fans, I did not really suffer at all. In the summer, this actually added up to quite a bit of money over the hot months. I live in the sun belt, and it is warm about 6 months of the year.
Plan grocery shopping better. I used to go to the grocery store with no clear plan. I have really saved money by shopping at the right stores for different types of purchases. Of course, you will probably still buy food at your food market! But cleaning products and personal products are cheaper at discount stores. Instead of paying extra for convenience, I planned out different trips for different types of things.
Some large discount stores carry both types of items. These stores can help you because you will not have to make many trips to different stores. Otherwise, try to find the type of stores you want that are close to each other. You do not want to save a few bucks because you are a good shopper, but then waste the money on expensive fuel for your car!

Check it over to make sure it offers exactly what you are looking for and if it does you are onto a winner. Renewal time

Old eye shadows can still be used by scraping them off from the palette and mixing them with another colour. Do not hesitate to experiment. These are old and will end up in the trash anyway if you do not use them. Similarly, you can always use two shades of lipstick to create an entirely different colour instead of buying a new one. Mascara and liners are only applied minimally. It really would not make a difference if they are expensive or not. If you notice, these are make-up that has been in your make-up collection for as long as you remember and they never seem to run out simply because they are rarely used. Just like what you wear, you use a different shade of shadow everyday to match your outfit. Also, cheap make-up does not generally mean that they are no good. You will be surprised to see some cheap brands to match the quality of the more expensive brands. The bottom line is that as long as you apply make-up the right way and look flawless, you would not make a difference from a person wearing more expensive make-up. In fact, you may even look prettier if you are more skilled in make-up application.
As for nail art, you can also experiment by mixing different colours of nail polish. People rarely finish a whole bottle of polish within a six month period. By this time, the quality of the nail polish has been reduced severely and will eventually be thrown out. As far as nail polish is concerned, a more expensive brand will not look any different from a cheaper brand.
As for hair dye, it is best to invest in a more expensive brand if you have dry hair as cheaper brands may be too harsh for you. Expensive brands treat your hair better by having more conditioning elements. On the other hand, if you have perfectly healthy hair, do not be afraid to buy cheaper brands. Also, if you do not want hair dye to be permanent, you have cheaper alternatives such as those that can be washed out. This is extremely practical especially if you would like to experiment with your hair.
With all of these cheap make up techniques, there is no excuse not to look good because you deserve it and you can afford it. Go for the nail art and hair dye you have been dying to try. After all, fashion is and will forever be every girls best friend.
